Bike wheel and other found objects, ribbons, twine, rope 3’x2’ not including
hanging apparatus

Mobile is made from my
childhood bike wheel;
strung with objects me
and my mother have
collected over the course
of my life. It is a reflection
on what we take with us
and the beauty in mundane
objects like a toy car, a fork,
a fortune cookie, a teacup,
and a playing card. A picture of
the life me and my mother have
led, references to things in objects others might not pick up on. Yet, In the center flush to the wheel is a mirror, so when you
look up at the objects you see yourself among them. I want the viewer to see themself as a
part of the art, inviting them further into my world.
